Please drink responsibly

Molvina Wine is committed to promoting the responsible enjoyment of alcohol by our customers and the wider community: to raise awareness all our wine bottles incorporate a Drinkaware logo.

Drinkaware is an independent UK-wide, alcohol education charity with the objective of positively changing public behaviour and the national drinking culture. They aim to reduce alcohol misuse and minimise alcohol related harm by helping people make better choices about their drinking.

They achieve this by providing impartial, evidence-based information, advice and practical resources; raising awareness of alcohol and its harms and working collaboratively with partners (including the medical community, public health, third sector organisations, local authorities, police and the drinks industry).

The UK Chief Medical Officers’ low risk guidelines recommends drinking no more than 14 units of wine (6 Glasses) per week for both men and women (based on 175 ml glass of 13% vol wine).

The risk of developing a range of health problems (including cancers of the mouth, throat and breast) increases the more you drink on a regular basis.

In pregnancy, the Chief Medical Officers’ (CMO) guidance is that:

• If you are pregnant or think you could become pregnant, the safest approach is not to drink alcohol at all, to keep risks to your baby to a minimum.

• Drinking in pregnancy can lead to long-term harm to the baby, with the more you drink the greater the risk.

If you wish to cut down the amount you drink, a good way to help achieve this is to have several drink-free days a week.

Alcohol misuse is a serious problem and Molvina Wine is committed to promoting responsible drinking at all times and advocates people to take a “drink less but better” approach to alcohol.

Cutting back on alcohol can benefit your health and well-being.
